I got them as expected wore them on a few occasions before the trip just to get a feel for them. To my amazement not only did they feel great but they didn’t rub at all against my heel. But they are still dry so I was determined to test them in a little more extreme conditions.
I wore them the entire time I was in costa rica as my main shoe for the trip. I hiked waterfalls, kayaked, fished, went horseback riding and they held up GREAT!!! Read a full review.![]()
I’ve had mine for two months and couldn’t be happier. I got ‘em for 40; I’d pay 100. If they last for two summers it will be pure gravy. They’re holding up perfectly so far, after 60 straight 100 degree days and plenty of water. They even give me a fair bit of support, and are wonderfully wide. They slip right on and off if you leave them velcroed lightly. They never fall off due to the design. Sooo comfortable, sooo cool in the heat. Read a full review.
They are comfortable, provide perfect traction and hold up well to the chlorine. I didn’t give them five stars because after a great deal of use, the first pair suffered a separation of the sole, probably because of chronic wetness and chronic exposure to chlorine. But, I of course immediately went online and purchased a new pair of these great “water sandals”.Read a full review.
Nicely executed fisherman’s sandal in modern materials. Light, flexible, supportive, water resistant materials. Upper is flexible thermoplastic with cushioned mesh on the instep. Dual-density sole soft on the inside and moderately lugged on the outside. Good ankle support and frontal toe protection for a sandal. Easy on/off. They are similar to some Salomon’s I purchased several years ago, but less expensive. The front toe cup, while protective, is somewhat restrictive and hampers breathability. Beach sand tends to pile up in there. Overall breathability is so-so. Decent arch support with a raised arch and negative heel cup molded into both insole and outsole. Deep cushioning on the heel gives a running shoe effect. Fair torsional rigidity; you’re probably more likely to twist an ankle in these than in running shoes or sneakers but they seem better in that regard than most sandles. The lace could be a bit longer, I wear them fully extended and the instep is still rather tight. Read a full review.
