User Reviews Summary
Sony MDR-Q22LP User Opinion Summary:
-
Sony MDR-Q22LP feature stylish design and customizable caps, you can choose your color. They are great, when you need to hear not only the music, but other sounds as well, like car coming. They are also great, if you wear glasses or a baseball cap, as they don’t have a headband to interfere. But they are not tight enough for gym or running, may fall down, and long cord has a tendency to twist.

What do people say
Some Positive
Sony’s earhook headphones are the perfect solution – they sit outside the ear but don’t have a clumsy plastic bar going across or behind your head. You can switch the caps from metallic blue to silver (Sony also has a pair available from Amazon with a white cord and white or green caps to match the white iPods) and in 2 years I’ve never had a cap fall off.
Personally, I find the fit comfortably snug, not too tight, not so far from your ear you lose sound. But ultimately fit will vary from person to person, ear to ear.
The sound itself is good quality – surprisingly so for non-noise cancelling headphones – and amazing for the price!

Secondly, the sound is just perfect. It’s clear, though not extremely bassy, and crisp. What’s more, the design allows me to hear outside noises fairly well, so I can tell if a car is coming or if someone is calling my name. These are the only clip-on headphones I have ever worn where I prefer the sound they normally give over the sound when I press them closer to my ears.
Last of all, these headphones are, well, pretty. They’re silver with a strong silver cord and optional dark blue plates to accent them with. I highly recommend them to you.

Some Negative
I purchased these thinking that they would be great for sports…you know stay on my ears as I’m running/jogging/etc. Not the case. The fact that a tiny wind blast would knock them off my head made a 3 mile jog turn into choir of holding the darn things to my head!! However, the sound quality is great for the price (even though other reviews say differently).

I’m in the Military so I do a lot of exercising which includes running and weightlifting so here are the downsides. The cord that goes around your head seems to get twisted up sometimes and takes slack away from the other side of your head so if you were to turn your head one of the pieces would fall off your ear so weightlifting which requires some jerky movements is kind of a pain and I find myself caring more about the headphone placement than my workout not to mention when you sweat the wire tends to stick.
