Pros:
- Printing is fast, and the quality of text is good for document printing.
- Quiet.
- Easy installation.
- Good price.
- Ink is good price.
- HP 6988 Deskjet has both wired and wireless network connections.
- For web and office document printing, HP 6988 Deskjet is perfect.
- Prints the last sheet first, so when you pick up your copies from the tray they are in the proper order.
- Good photo quality with photo ink.
- Looks nice.
Cons:
- The instructions could be more user friendly.
- The printer does shake when it prints.
- USB cable is not included.
- Inability to use the printer wirelessly on an 802.11n network.
- Only one color cartridge.
- Set-up for wireles can be confusing if your router does not have a “SecureEasySettup” or “Connect Now” capabilities.
- Plug the printer into the router and let it get an IP
- Log into your router’s web interface and figure out what the printer’s IP is (or print the setup page).
- For each computer, select start->printers and faxes->Add printer. The trick here is to choose “Local printer attached to this computer” even though it’s networked. Click “Next” and then choose “Create new port”. Click “Next” and use the wizard to set up the printer. Enter the IP of the printer from step (2). When prompted for driver, you can use the windows driver, but I had to insert the manufacturer’s CD and get the driver there. Read full review on Amazon
