Casio MDV102-1AV is an analog dive watch. It’s well built and durable, features strong LED lighting & rotating top-ring. It is up to 200 meters water resistant. But users report, that the band is uncomfortable.

Pros.

Rotating top-ring. 200m water resistant, LED lighting.
Luminescent paint is two colors: green for hands, blue for hour markers.
Screw-down crown, screw-down caseback (usually found on higher end diver’s watches).
Feels very robust and solid.
Keep accurate time.
Durable.

Cons.

The inset luminescent marker on the topring does not glow very brightly/hard to see in dim lighting.
Uncomfortable strap.
Topring is hard to turn with fingerpads.

What do people say

Some positive

1) It looks much nicer in real life, than the pictures here show. It looks very classy and just looks great.
2) The LED light is outstanding. I don’t know how much it will affect battery life though. Shouldn’t be too much since it’s an LED.
3) The band it came with is thick rubber (like a gshock) and I am a little disappointed in it’s feel. I’ll probably try to find a better band. Despite the band, I still gave it a 5 star because the watch itself is gorgeous and bands can be replaced easily enough.

Solid build and quality. Have owned it for a few months and banged it a bit, no scratches and great timing, to the marker- I was amazed due to the price. The precision is on point. I have gone swimming & fishing, worked on a few cars, hiked, hand washed dirty laundry, u name it and exposed it to gasoline and oil, no issues.

Some negative:

The band does reflect the price point though. It’s stiff plastic and I found it unwearable. You can change it for a silicone rubber band (much more comfortable) for not much money, which was worth doing for me.

The expected wrist band really is that bad. I don’t know how anyone can wear it without putting it over the wetsuit sleeve. I suppose it’s meant to be worn that way. Anyhow, I will be replacing the strap with a new one.
