Cons:

1. It’s a big and heavy machine.
2. Text output is a bit slow and not perfect.
3. Documentation for color management is a bit lacking.
4. Front paper feed setup is slow.
5. There is no draft print option.
6. Can’t do banner printing.
7. Included CD is not as intuitive as it could be.
8. Pixma Pro9000 does not have in internal paper cartridge, so allow for a wide stand and plenty of room for the front and back paper trays.
9. No USB cable included.
10. Lack of support for 11×14″ paper( You have to print an 11×14 print on 13×19 paper or “fake it” by telling your printing application you’re really printing on 11×17″ paper, then crop down the picture some.)
11. Pixma Pro9000 does not support printing longer than 19″.
12. Limited warranty suggests that if you have a damaged machine you will be advised with two options: 1) take it to authorized repair center or 2) get a refurbished replacement.
13. Uses a lot of ink in cleaning the print head.
