I ordered this seat after trying several others without success, and it’s great! I have a 2009 Honda Fit which is a very small car. I wanted something that was safe, easy to use, would last at least a couple more years, was affordable, and most importantly…fit in my car!

The fabric on the seat is nice and plush, but even in the summer heat my girl did not seem extra sweaty. The quality is noticable compared to other models you see in big box stores. I love that is has a steel bar frame and that the base is stationary so the seat just pivots to recline. The LATCH connectors are super easy and store away neatly if you are using a seat belt. I installed it in my car with both methods and they were both easy and quick. I have used it both in the center and passenger side positions (both rear-facing) and it fit with enough room for my passenger to be comfortable. I couldn’t even do that on the passenger side with my infant car seat. It’s able to work because the base kind of lifts the shell up and over the back of the front seat, but not so high that it impedes on visibility. It is also narrow enough that the other side of my split seat will still fold down. It’s not a narrow seat or anything, just not overly huge.

I am so glad this Roundabout 55 replaced the Roundabout 50. The sides near the head are larger, providing what seems to be a safer environment for the baby’s head. The cover is soft, and I love the velcro that holds the harness straps back. I do wish that there was velco to hold the middle between-the-legs strap, though. I’m always digging it out from underneath the baby when I put him into the seat.
I love the added safety feature of the VERSA TETHER. However, when in rear-facing position, it is difficult to get the baby into the carseat over the straps. However, I feel this will only be a problem until we turn the seat forward facing, and is a small price to pay for the added safety.
